Why do I need a professional music production service?

If you are a professional songwriter,  you need professional sounding – if not master quality – demos to place a song in this very competitive market.  More importantly, if you pitch a song to an artist like Usher, you want to make sure your track sounds like an Usher track and that your vocalist sounds like Usher.  Make it easy for the artist and record labels to say yes!  Our productions are master-quality and allow you to request up to 4x revisions throughout the process, pick a vocalist, and review the instrumental arrangements and mixes.  Our emphasis is on marketability and quality of work.

If you are an artist, you cannot afford to shop your CD with poorly produced and mixed tracks.  You only get one shot at making a first, great and lasting impression.  Make it count!  All of our producers, session vocalists, and engineers have at least 5 credits on nationally or internationally released albums, and have produced for some of the best in the business including Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-1, Craig David, Jessica Simpson, Anastacia,  and many other Grammy-award, gold- and platinum-winning artists.  Naturally, when you pitch your CD to various labels, you get the additional benefit and credibility of having worked with some of the industry's best producers when you work with us.

We can serve clients over the Internet worldwide, or onsite in Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, and Atlanta, USA; London, UK; Munich, Germany; Rome, Italy; Stockholm, Sweden.

How do I select the right music production service for my project?

Choosing a music production or demo recording service can be a risky, expensive, and frustrating experience.  There are many services out there – both expensive and inexpensive – that promise the world, but deliver very little.  Many of us have been there and experienced the frustration that comes with paying for a low quality production, even if it is inexpensive.  As a result, we highly recommend that you consider the following set of criteria to select the right music production service for your project:

  • Are you impressed by the quality and feel of the music production  services’ past projects?  Please listen to samples of our work to get a feel for the quality of work we produce.  Our samples cover all genres and showcase the versatility of our producers, engineers, and vocalists.  Also check out our studios. Based in two major world music markets (Los Angeles, USA and Miami/Naples, USA), we have our fingers on the pulse of the world music market.

  • Will you receive 100% personalized service?  Every single client of ours receives 100% personalized service.  After you place your order, we assign one of our music producers to your project, and he will contact you within 48 hours to discuss your project in great detail.   Together we will select the right vocalist, style, arrangement, orchestration, and mix for your song.  You can reach your music producer via email, fax, and phone at all times.

  • On-site production.  If you are an artist or a producer and would like to work with our producers in person, we currently have producers available in Miami, Los Angles, New York City, Nashville in the USA; Stockholm, Sweden; Rome, Italy; London, UK; Nuernberg, Germany. Our producers are also happy to travel to your location.

  • Will you receive the demo recording in a professional format?  At your request, we deliver all demo recordings on CD or DAT in the most common professional formats, including:

  • HighQuality Audio CD.

  • .WAV, .AIFF, MP3, MP3 pro, Orbis, and other popular formats.

  • MIDI.

Our multi-gold and platinum winning producers and studio engineers have produced, remixed, engineered and composed with/for:

Artists including:  Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Usher, Craig David, Celine Dion, Anastacia, Jessica Simpson, Ricky Martin, WuTang Clan, and many others.

Labels including:  Universal, Koch International, EMI, Warner Music, BMG, etc.

But don’t be fooled by our credits!  Please listen to samples of our work to get a feel for the high quality of work we produce.

In what format do you deliver the final recordings?

Every client receives 2 data and 2 audio CDs that contain all project files, including:

  • Regular Audio CD with the final mix

  • .WAV and .AIFF files of each individual track and the final mix

  • MIDI files

Can you accommodate special requests?

Yes, absolutely.  When it comes to music production, given enough time and a healthy budget, there's little we cannot do.  Just contact us to get a custom proposal.

How long does it take to finish a production?

Depending on our current project load and your requirements, it typically takes anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks.  For projects that require a quick turnaround, we can produce a song in 1 week for a nominal rush surcharge.  But it's in your best interest not to rush a production, if you want the highest quality of work.

Where do you record?

We record at our own studio facilities in London, UK, New York, NY, Gothenburg, Sweden, and Los Angeles, California, USA.  However, depending on your requirements, we may bring in other resources and use other studio facilities in other cities.

If you want to work with one of our producers in person, we have producers available in the following cities:

  • Los Angeles, CA, USA

  • Nashville, TN, USA

  • New York City, NY, USA

  • Pittsburgh, PA, USA

  • Vancouver, Canada

  • London, UK

  • Gothenburg, Sweden

  • Riga, Latvia

What happens if I'm not happy with the production?

Unlike many other music production services, we have put extensive safeguards into our music production process to avoid problems with the production.  Click here to find out more about our process, and what you can expect after you place your order.  As you will note, you can request up to 2 revisions to the work we produce for you, and your input and feedback is sought throughout the process.  In other words, if you are unhappy with a particular piece of work, we'll do it again - at no extra charge up to 2x - until you are happy.

Can you help me get a record or a publishing deal?

Unfortunately, not. You may want to check out various A&R and song placement services, e.g.:

  • NOTC

  • Songlink

  • Taxi.com

  • Cuesheet

  • Kathode Ray Newsletter

  • The Bandit Newsletter

But nobody can guarantee that they can get you a record or a publishing deal.

Can you help me source music for my project?

Unfortunately, not. You need to approach music publishers and songwriters to source music for your project.

Who owns the copyright to my song, if Ionly supply the melody and lyrics?

You own 100% of your song at all times.  From a legal perspective, we are strictly independent contractors who are retained to arrange your song.  As such, we do not have a legal interest in your song – even if we come up with an instrumental arrangement, chord progression, etc. for your song.

Can you help me write music to my lyrics?

Unfortunately not. You need to approach other songwriters to help you with music.

Do you require album credit?

As a professional courtesy to acknowledge the quality work our hard-working producers, arrangers, studio engineers, vocalists and session musicians complete for you, we would greatly appreciate your crediting them and our company monsterDEMOS.

What extra charges do you have?

If you have special requirements, e.g., mixing to Surround Sound, live performance of a string quartet or addition of special sound effects, please contact us prior to placing your order for a custom quote.
